Sacrament of Anointing
Sacrament of Anointing is celebrated communally in the Church, usually in the Fall. Notify one of the priests if there is a serious accident or illness in the family so that the person may receive the Sacrament of Anointing. Any one who is sick or disabled from mental or physical illness, from old age or accident, or who is preparing for serious surgery may receive the Sacrament of Anointing. A request may be made of the parish priest whenever it is deemed advisable for the spiritual comfort of the sick and/or the aged. If a parishioner is hospitalized, the family is encouraged to notify the parish office so that members of the staff can visit them. If someone is homebound, the Eucharist can be brought to them on a regular basis.
